Refill their cup because

They empty it at work

Spoon it out in heaping tablespoons

To each patient they meet

 And if the cup is empty before shift end

They dig deep to find genuine compassion and humility

They have to

Patients can tell if it’s missing or insincere

And if it is

They can be ruthless
