Getting Up Again

A patient said this to me today and the words have been sitting uncomfortably in the left hemisphere of my brain for the last twelve hours.

Sometimes, after a fitful night’s sleep, rising is hard.
When the sedation has only partially worn off, it’s even harder.
When there’s an invisible weight holding you down, it can be crippling.
Nike says “Just Do It”.
