About the Blog
I want nurses to have a place to share stories, educate others, express opinions, and most importantly, support each other in a profession that is constantly changing and redefining our role in healthcare.
Anyone who cares about a healthcare professional and wants to bring this lighthearted blog to their attention is much appreciated!
I am not naive, venting is expected. But if you vomit your bad day on my pretty little blog page without attempting to use at least a teaspoon of humor, I will blast you off the page faster than a Suprep cleanse on a patient suffering from chronic diarrhea!
So remember, humor, please!
Love your venting with humour in your blogs! Great for the soul I think!!! 😀
Yes! Being able to decompress somehow, words, exercise, prayer…it’s all good!
Hi there! My name is Cameron Von St. James and I had a quick question for you & was wondering if you could please email me when you have a free moment. Thanks! I really hope to hear from you soon and appreciate you taking the time. ☺ cvonstjames AT gmail DOT com
Hi,
How are you ?
My computer has a little virus, not a big one, that I got went uploading Skype. It makes me a little weary about using my personal email address when meeting someone new. Is it a WordPress question ? I am only taking baby steps in this arena. If it’s medical, remember, my nursing license and education doesn’t give me the same breadth of knowledge for advise giving!
I’m a nurse too! I love your blog community!
Thank you! And welcome!
love your attitude Susan. My baby sister is an RN @ a local hospital. She works in cardio rehab, and the patients love her. Just read 4 or 5 of your posts. you remind me of her. 😉 DM
I want to tell you that the more I read your posts, the more I like your blog. Thank you for your support. For you to see similarities between me and a family member – very nice compliment!
Email me at msscandrol@gmail.com about the hipstamatic print. ☺️
Humor is important, both in illness and in health.
This blog is wonderful and I highly respect what you do. Thank you for your interest in my blog. I look forward to following yours.
Gosh, thank you for such a nice compliment!
Great Initiative!
Thank you!
Welcome Back 🙂
Dear Susan,
I wanted to let you know that we published a list of Top Nurse Blogs on our website (at blog.nurserecruiter.com/top-nurse-blogs ), and that we were very happy to include “Don’t Curse The Nurse” as well. 🙂
There are a lot of blogs on our list that have been re-designed over the years into elaborately designed websites with entrepreneurial ambitions, and we greatly appreciate their professional aspirations. But we have a special place in our heart for the blogs that are still simply, genuinely, the work of a nurse who knows how to write well and wants to share his or her stories, views and experiences, for its own sake. And you do this very well. Your understated wit, thoughtful and compassionate observations, and skilled ability to turn a phrase make it a joy to read.
We have organized our nurse blogs list in several categories, listing your blog in the main category, “Nurses who blog about health and nursing”. But if you think it would be better listed in one of the other categories, feel free to let us know. Of course, if you know any other blog you feel should be in our list that is still missing, we’d be eager to hear about that too.
We know blogging can sometimes be a bit of a lonely endeavor, and we hope we can do our bit to provide a little encouragement. Paying respect to ye olde traditions of blogging history, we even created a Top Nurse Blogs award. Not really sure this is the kind of thing that would appeal to you, but of course you should feel free to add this badge to your blog and link it back to our nurse blogs list. You will find it at the top of the list – just click on the award to get a full-size image file. (We have a transparent/PNG version we could email over as well.)
If you have any questions or you’d like to share any news or info, just drop me an email on the address I filled in to post this comment. 🙂
(That comment didn’t take the first time round, but I was able to post it eventually by logging in with our Twitter account. That means I owe you an email address to reach me at, though! It’s joost AT nurserecruiter.com.)
Oh , this is amazing! Thank you so much!
