My two months off from blogging to work on rehabbing my right knee from a fall last October –
Ha!
Yep, the photo below…it’s my left knee. Sandals, kind of wet concrete, and Boom !
You know how the sprinters jump the hurdles, one leg stretched in front, the other tucked under…that was me…somehow on my back. But I stood, assisted by a sister and friendly passers by.

Road rash taking weeks to heal…blah
dang. I could feel it that from here. Good to read your comment and hear from you again! DM
So happy your post was one of the first on the top of my reader page!
Ouch! 😯
Had a few other words when I fell…
I did too when I got hurt last November
Oh yes, they just flew out of my mouth ! Would have made a sailor blush!
So, what happened? No matter what, you know you tell people you were hang gliding or something like zip lining, right?!
Ouch! That looks really painful. Hope it heals quickly.
It’s getting there!
That looks painful! Feel better soon!
Basil, I have to laugh at myself, thinking ‘ I’m designating eight weeks to fix a body part a little stiff and sore…as if I could isolate physical issues and manage them one at a time ! The universe was laughing at me a little and pulling my leg : )
Thank you so much for your note!
I didn’t raise my leg high enough when stepping over low railings to the front garden. There wasn’t even much blood, but it came from a LONG way in – surrounded by angry flesh.
A moment’s inattention: six weeks of pain (so far).
That’ll teach me (it probably won’t).
Good luck with yours…
Yeah, isn’t it crazy ! I was walking down the sidewalk outside of a restaurant. At the bottom where there is usually an area grated in the cement, there was only old slick swipes of what looked like cement glue ( I checked it out after standing again). It took me right off my feet ( and me wearing sandels didn’t help)
I hope it’s healed soon. It looks so painful. xo
Thanks! Takes a long time for a scab to form, then heal when it’s on the end of a joint you have to move, ha!
ah! that look so painful. how is your knee now?
Getting better! Can walk at a decent clip on a treadmill. I appreciate you asking!
